Holiday Requests

Process

  • All holiday requests should be sent via email. There is no standard form you need to use, so it is enough if you just write “Hey, I want to go on holiday between ... and … . Ok?”. Send it to:

    • To: Team Lead

    • CC: Anita Pejic , all AL’s for any squad you are in

  • Your Team Lead will approve your holiday request via email (use reply-all).

  • Once approved,Anita Pejic will add the days you took off in the “Core” Calendar. Because of privacy reasons, they will be entered as “OOO” (Out Of Office). Example: “Anita OOO”

  • The same process applies to special leave.

Special Leave

According to the IT collective aggreement in Austria there are some cases that allow you to take a predefined amount of days off without taking holidays for (like in case of marriage, relocation,…). If you want to know which cases they are and how many days special leave you are legally entiteled to, just ask Anita Pejic.

Unfortunately Croatian law is not that employee friendly as the Austrian. But as we are one team, and everyone should be treated equally - and not some more equally than others (cf. George Orwell’s Animal Farm (wink)) - everyone at 9Y can take special leave. Below you can find a list of cases where special leave can be used.
