The Scheme
<Client> - <Project> <Type> - <Version/Change>? <Date>
Details
Client
use withouth company type (e.g. Treechip and not Treechip GmbH)
In cases where the end client is not the direct client use our direct one. The end customer may then be contained in the project name.
Abbrevation on customer name when possible (ista not: ista Deutschland, or MKÖ not Mauthausen Komitee Österreich)
Unkown Client Company e.g. if the company is in founding phase and name has not beedn defined, use the persons name until the company is created or the most likely company name that they are going to choose.
Project
very often if the name of the project is not yet known. In these cases use a descriptive name (e.g. Meter Reading App)
In some cases no concrete project might not be known at all. In these cases we can use a placeholder “X“. An exception to this are partnerships, these are always named with “Partnership“
Type
Whatever type of product we build (e.g. App, Website, Backend, …)
Version/Change (Optional)
If e.g. specific update version is offered use that: e.g. v.1.0.2 or v2
If we offer some generic updates to an existing project use: Add-ons
If we offer some speciifc update use this desciption directly: e.g. Audio Streaming
Also possible are PoC, MVP, …
In cases were it makes no sense skip the Version tag
e.g. for Maintenance Contracts it will for example not make sense
