9Y Mini Projects

9Y Mini Projects are internal projects which take any underutilisation within the staff and try to transform it into education and training. They strive to fulfill the following

  • Give training to everyone working on the project

  • Make good use of any unavoidable underutilisation

Key Rules

There are 4 key rules for a 9Y Mini Project

  1. It has to have a training effect for the squad working on it

  2. It has to be self contained

    • Once finished, there is no need for further project phases

    • Although the possibility can be there

  3. It has to be short

    • 1 month +-

  4. It has to have a value for the company

    • No projects for the sake of occupation

    • Think of the 2FA Project

Daily Operations

In daily operations, the Mini Projects are treated like any other project. Estimation, Handovers, Budget, …

The only exception is:

  • Client projects take precedence

    • Team members might be moving to a client project

    • Only plan the projects in when there is real idle time

Agreement on Mini Project

  • Anyone can suggest a project

  • Bring it to your Team Lead

  • Will be decided by all leads together
